From GTO ranges
to your first decision.

A practical NLH AOF guide. Follow these steps to enter a current situation or manually review a past hand.

What is a GTO range?

GTO (Game Theory Optimal) refers to an equilibrium strategy within a specified game model, designed to resist exploitation through unilateral strategy changes. A range describes the hands a player can use in a situation and the frequency of playing each hand.

AA, AKs and AKo are different hand classes. A range is more than a list of strong cards: it depends on position, earlier all-ins, stack size, rake and bonuses. Mixed strategies may play the same hand only some of the time.

A GTO solver computes equilibrium strategies. HOAOF uses precomputed GTO ranges; its individual recommendations compare EV against your selected opponent model. Advice against an ATS/FTA profile is not a newly solved GTO equilibrium.

How to use HOAOF

  1. Sign in and select NLH AOF from Games. Select one to four tables. The shared hand chart applies only to the active table.
  2. Select the platform. WPL uses a 10bb stack and 270bb straight-flush bonus. CoinPoker uses an 8bb stack with no straight-flush bonus. Match the preset to your situation.
  3. Set the players dealt in and their seats. Exclude waiting or sitting-out players who received no cards. You are always at the bottom. Drag opponents on the table or use Seat layout.
  4. Check your position. The first actor is CO with four players, BTN with three, and SB heads-up. The yellow Start here label identifies the next opponent action to enter. If you act first, enter your hand.
  5. Choose a hand in the 169-hand chart. The diagonal contains pairs such as AA, the upper half suited hands such as AKs, and the lower half offsuit hands such as AKo. Displayed card suits are representative examples of the selected hand class.
  6. Enter earlier actions in order. Choose Fold or All-in on the highlighted opponent’s seat. The highlight advances to the next actor. Calculation starts automatically once all required inputs are present.
  7. Read the recommendation, then advance. Next hand rotates positions. When you are BB and all players ahead fold, the app advances automatically. Use Previous hand or Edit on an entered action to correct mistakes.

Match an opponent range with ATS and FTA

Click an opponent’s name area to open their profile. Keep Default GTO for unknown opponents, or choose Enter ATS / FTA when you have observed statistics.

ATS: attempt to steal
How frequently the opponent takes a steal opportunity.
FTA: fold to all-in
How often the opponent folds when facing an all-in. Both inputs must be between 0% and 100%.

Inputs match prebuilt intervals. Each interval uses a representative range generated from its midpoint; the app does not fit a new range on each request. Values inside the same interval use the same representative range.

Matching example

ATS 31% maps to [30, 35), represented by 32.5%. FTA 80% maps to [78, 81), represented by 79.5%. WPL and CoinPoker use separate range catalogs with their own rules.

Two statistics cannot reveal an opponent’s entire strategy. Small samples or changing behavior can make the estimated range differ from their actual choices.

Read the recommendation and EV

Expected value (EV) is the model’s estimated average result if the same situation were repeated. It is expressed in big blinds (bb), not a prediction of the next hand’s outcome.

The central Play − Fold number is the EV of participating minus the EV of folding. A positive number favors participation over folding; a negative number favors folding. Positive values are blue and negative values are red.

Illustrative arithmetic, not a computed hand result

If playing has EV −0.2bb and folding has EV −1.0bb, the difference is +0.8bb. That does not mean playing itself has an absolute EV of +0.8bb.

Results are for the individual player. Opponent models, earlier actions and platform rules can change the recommendation. Initial table preparation takes time, and busy periods can delay responses.

A four-player input example

Suppose you are reviewing a hand from BB: CO folded, BTN went all-in, and SB folded.

  1. Select a table, four players, your position BB, and the applicable platform.
  2. For a suited queen and eight, select Q8s in the shared hand chart.
  3. Follow the highlight: CO Fold → BTN All-in → SB Fold.
  4. Read the call/fold recommendation and Play − Fold EV. Change the hand or opponent model to compare another scenario.

This example demonstrates the input sequence. It does not promise a specific action or profit for that hand.

Frequently asked questions

Does using a GTO range guarantee a win?

No. GTO is a strategy concept within a model, and real results have variance. Rake, bonuses, actual opponent strategies and input accuracy all matter.

Is every calculation exact?

No. Four-way all-ins use an existing three-way approximation. This is not a general-purpose solver covering every stack size and bet size.

Can I enter live situations and review past hands?

You can manually enter either a current situation or a past hand. Screen recognition is not required. Review here means re-entering a situation, not automatic hand history storage or weekly analytics.

Does changing one table affect the others?

Hands, actions and opponent settings are per table. Check the active table before using the shared chart. Language selection applies across the whole workspace.

Does the service charge credits?

The current free public beta does not deduct credits. Any future pricing changes will be announced separately.

Can I analyze PLO AOF here?

The public interface currently supports NLH AOF only. The 169-hand chart does not accept PLO hands.
